A comprehensive 1500 TR chiller plant turnkey project at Anantara Hotel, encompassing the design, supply, and full-scale replacement of critical HVAC components to enhance operational efficiency and reliability.
The project at Anantara Hotel, Sir Baniyas Island, involved a major overhaul of the hotel’s HVAC system. DAC was tasked with the design, supply, and replacement of a 1500 TR chiller plant. This extensive project included the installation of new chillers, chilled water pumps, a chiller plant manager, variable frequency drives (VFDs), chilled water piping, insulation, cladding, electrical control panels, and direct digital controls (DDC).
The primary challenges included the remote island location of the hotel in Abu Dhabi, necessitating meticulous logistical planning. Additionally, the project demanded a new design for the chiller plant and control systems, a split design for two chiller plants, and adherence to a tight timeline, all amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.
DAC's solution involved strategic planning to overcome logistical hurdles, innovative redesigning of the chiller plants, and efficient project execution. The team successfully installed and integrated the new systems while ensuring minimal disruption to the hotel's operations. The result was a state-of-the-art chiller plant system that significantly improved the hotel's HVAC efficiency and reliability, reducing operational costs and enhancing guest comfort.
The expertise and dedication of Dubai AC's team in upgrading our HVAC system were exemplary. Despite the challenges, they delivered a top-notch solution that has markedly improved our operational efficiency and guest experience.
